Acrylic(Perspex, Plexiglass)
Acrylic is available in clear sheet from 1.5mm to 50mm. Colours, frosts, tints and light diffusers are also available in varying thicknesses. We stock acrylic tube from 6mm to 250mm diameter and rod from 3mm to 76mm diameter.

Acrylic offers high light transmission and can be easily formed without loss of optical clarity. Exposure to moisture or total immersion in water does not significantly affect the mechanical or optical properties. Plastix' acrylic is UV stabilized to withstand weathering and to resist prolonged exposure to sunlight.

Acrylic can be fabricated, laser cut, saw cut, drilled, engraved, finished and edge polished with our state of the art machinery.

Acrylic is a suitable material for signage, boat screens, shelving, skylights, displays, brochure & menu holders. It has many applications suitable for domestic, industrial, commercial and retail purposes.

Polycarbonate (Lexan)
Polycarbonate is available in sheet form in clear, opal, tint and obscure, in thicknesses ranging from 0.5mm to 12.7mm.

Polycarbonate offers very high impact strength, is virtually unbreakable and has a high modulus of elasticity. It has a high heat deflection capability and absorbs very little moisture, and has low frequency and high voltage insulating characteristics, properties that make polycarbonate a prime material for electrical and electronic components. Its strength , impact resistance and transparency make it an ideal material for various structural applications.

Polycarbonate can be cut to size, fabricated and machined. It is perfect for use as windows, wind breaks, safety & industrial glazing, roofing, skylights, shopfronts, railings and barriers, instrument covers, machine guards and in any situation where vandalism may be an issue.

Aluminium Composite Panel (ACP)
Aluminium Composite panels consist of a polythene inner core with a 0.21mm thick aluminium laminate surface on both sides. A polyester treatment on these surfaces means no painting is required and makes it ideal for sreen and digital printing. ACP is available in 2440mm x 1220mm x 3mm and 3050mm x 150mm x 3mm (white only) sheet sizes and in 7 colours.

Features of ACP include: high temperature resistance (making it ideal for indoor and outdoor use), is rigid, lightweight, can be saw cut, cnc machined, drilled and fabricated using our state-of-the-art machinery. Applications for ACP are signage, shopfittings, display and exhibitions.

Industrial PVC
PVC sheet is available in clear, white and grey. Clear and white are in thicknesses from 0.5mm to 6mm, grey is available in thicknesses 1.5mm to 25mm.

PVC rod is available in grey only and comes in thicknesses from 6mm to 200mm.

PVC has a high strength to weight ratio and is a good electrical and thermal insulator. It is self extinguishing, may be used to temperatures of 60 degrees Celsius, is chemically resistant making it a versatile material that lends itself to a number of applications. It can be fabricated, formed, welded and screen printed. Clear and white PVC is used predominantly for signage and displays. Grey PVC is used for chemical tanks, fume cupboards, drip trays and ducting.

Foamed PVC (Foamex, Forex)
Foamed PVC sheet is available in white, in thicknesses of 1mm to 30mm. Black is available in 3mm & 6mm. Colours come in 3mm sheets only.

PVC is a lightweight material that is easily cut to size and shaped. It is a great substitute for weathertex, MDF or polystyrene. It is perfect for POS displays, signage, cutout letters, backing boards and logos.

Polyethylene (PE)
Polyethelene is available in sheet from 1.5mm to 50mm. Polyethelene rod is available from 25mm to 200mm.

PE is commonly used as cutting boards, packers, bearings, washers as well as other frictionless and food applications.

High Density Polyethylene (HDPE)
HDPE has excellent impact resistance, lightweight, low moisture absorption and high tensile strength. It is non toxic and non staining, it also meets FDA certification for food processing.

Ultra High Molecular Weight Polyethylene (UHMWPE)
UHMWPE is lightweight, has high tensile strength, is easily machinable, self lubricating, shatter resistant, long wearing, abrasion & corrosion resistant. It has FDA and USDA acceptance for food and pharmaceutical equipment.

Styrene (HIPS)
Styrene is available in white or black sheet, in thicknesses from 0.5mm to 3mm.

Styrene has good dimensional strength, balanced properties of impact strength and heat resistance. It is easily machined and is relatively low cost. The styrene surface allows for good ink retention making it the perfect material for screen printing. It can be easily cut with the "scribe and snap" method, saw or router.

Uses for this material include point of sale displays, stencils, prototypes and architectural models.

PETG (Polyester)
PETG sheet is available in clear from 1mm to 3mm .

It has very high impact resistance, is chemically resistant and affordable making it well suited for a variety of demanding sheet applications, ranging from store displays to signage. PETG can be cut with a laser, routed, drilled, bent hot or cold, screwed and riveted. It maintains exceptional clarity during fabrication, heating and forming without whitening. The sheet accepts screen printing and painting.

Polypropylene
We stock a wide range of colours, solid colours and translucent colours, in polypropylene sheet. The sheet size is 1,220mm x 665mm in thicknesses of 0.6mm and 0.8mm.

Acetal (Delrin)
Acetal is available in sheet from 1mm to 50mm. Acetal rod is available from 6mm to 200mm.

Acetal provides high strength and stiffness, enhanced dimensional stability and is easy to machine. It is characterized by a low coefficient of friction , good wear properties and chemical resistance.

PTFE (Teflon)
PTFE is available sheet thicknesses from 1mm to 25mm. PTFE rod comes in 6mm to 150mm diameter.

It offers high chemical resistance, low & high temperature capability, resistance to weathering, low friction, electrical & thermal insulation and slipperiness. PTFE's mechanical properties are low compared to other plastics, but its properties remain at a useful level over a wide temperature range of minus 73 degrees Celsius to plus 204 degrees Celsius.

Corflute
Corflute is a lightweight yet strong material that is perfect for internal and external signs and POP displays. Sheets come in white, black and various colours in thicknesses ranging from 3mm to 5mm.
It has excellent printability, will not rust, fade or tear, is easily washable and reusable and is non toxic.
